@Sachin, Yes, it is good to be aware that there are lots of people (including me) who feel that the software patents system is really broken, and many types of software should not be patentable. And many software patents are in fact silly. But that does not change the fact that in the real world, software patents do exist, and they are taken seriously by lots of people, and it is _very_ serious business, and lots & lots of money is involved. Ignore at your own risk. So, I think the article you linked: Why Real Programmers Don't Take The USPTO Seriously: Doubly-Linked List Patented is just plain wrong and deluded. Just ask Sun who ended up paying Kodak 92 million dollars over fairly stupid patents. And, many, many other such cases.

@Rohan, I don’t understand your question. I don’t see what connection “selling a comp” has with copyrights or patents. If you sell a computer that does not belong to you, then just regular laws are good enough to put you in jail…?

What if i sell my comp to someone? Then will i be liable to pay just the profits? Like what if i sell the comp to my brother for Rs 1?
Or i will be charged of selling company’s property?
