Ajay founded Jopasana in 1990 and has led it ever since. As an entrepreneur, Ajay has played an integral role in establishing the ideas and concepts of software automation to the Indian process industry. He has worked extensively in the areas of Industrial process control, real-time systems, mathematical modeling, and process simulation. Ajay looks at strategic partnership development, business development and execution functions.

Prior to founding Jopasana, he was in-charge of Software & Simulation division in Laval Automation, an Alfa Laval subsidiary company, handling software development and simulation. Before this stint he worked with Alfa Laval India in Sales and Engineering.

Ajay is an active member of ISA - International Society for Measurement and Control for several years. He is a member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and actively associated with Indian Institute of Technology - Department of Chemical Engineering (IIChE). He has taught at the University of Pune as an adjunct faculty and has also been invited as expert to industry training programs at IIT Mumbai. He has served as a member on the committee set up by the government on dynamic training simulation. He has several papers to his credit which have been presented in various national and international seminars especially in the areas of real-time control, modeling and industrial applications of software systems.

His interests include application of software systems to managing total cost of ownership of critical industrial systems and application of control engineering principals to solving multidisciplinary software engineering problems.

Ajay received his Bachelors - B.Tech in Chemical Engineering - from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai, India. He also holds an MS in Computer Science from University of Pune.
