Computational Research Laboratories (CRL) is a Tatas' venture engaged in research and development in the area of high performance computing. The scope of R&D includes computer architecture, systems software, hardware (board, chip, FPGA and MEMS design), optical interconnect & switching, software libraries & solvers for various scientific, engineering and business application domains.

CRL, based in Pune, India, currently has a team of about 20 persons and is growing aggressively through global recruitment. High Performance Computing being an interdisciplinary field incorporating such diverse areas as VLSI, system software, algorithms, fast interconnects and the like, the company is looking for seasoned industry professionals as well as academicians to build a world-class team.

CRL's vision is to be a global leader in the field of HPC by developing its own intellectual property and by achieving spectacular disruptions in the prevailing price-performance levels. CRL's core team has a strong background in abstract mathematics, physics and computer algorithms. By exploiting synergies in these domains, CRL will craft novel supercomputer architectures which will have the ability to scale up to deliver spectacular sustained performance.

CRL's EKA supercomputer is believed to be the 4th fastest supercomputer in the world.
