- Barcamp Pune – An unconference for technology. Low on “formal agenda” high on energy. Great place to meet people enthusiastic about technology.
- ClubHack – Educating people about security.
- Computer Society of India Pune – one of the oldest tech organizations in the city.
- IEEE Pune – tech activities, with significant presence in Pune colleges.
- LinuxChix – for promoting Liux amongst women, but activities are not restricted to just women
- MoMo Pune – Monday meetings for those interested in mobile technologies. A little inactive currently, but just a matter of time before it is resurrected, considering the amount of activity happening in Pune in this domain
- OpenSocial Developer Garage – a conference for OpenSocial developers
- PHPCamp – with 700+ people attending, it was the biggest unconference in India.
- Project Management Institute Pune – one of the most active chapters of PMI.
- Pune Flex Users Group – irregular meetings for Flex users.
- Pune GNU/Linux Users Group – the mailing list is very active, and they meet on the first Saturday of every month
- Pune Google Technology Users Group – arranges workshops on Google technologies
- Pune OpenCoffee Club – a very active mailing list and regular meetings; represents almost 400 people interested in Pune startup ecosystem

- Pune Technology Professionals Linked-in Group
- Pune User Group (Microsoft Technologies) – the mailing list is quite active, and they have a huge yearly conference
